We will be holding a free screening of the film ‘All Spruced Up’ adapted & directed by long-time Arts Theatre member, Bill Ayers from Arthur T. Horman.
The film is about Chuck Charmers and pal Groper who quit working for Lavender Laundries when Chuck comes into money. They start hopefully as grifters, falling into the hands of real con artists. Wheelright Lavender believes his Laundry business and personal life can be top of the heap by doing two things at once, like conducting interviews and playing the stock market at the same time. Meanwhile, his adult daughter, Louise, is being well and truly hoodwinked by a well-oiled snake-in-the-grass grifter.
The cast includes: Emmanuel Nicolaou, David Hines, Vincent O’Neill, Iseult Champion, Alan Mundy, Maria Micallef, Bill Ayers, Cynthia Delaney, Denise Kitching, Terry Neenan, Pam Neenan, Olivia Harris, Anne McMaster, Adrian Thompson, Rod Chambers, Bob Smart, Rod Mason, Rachel Cliffe, Andrew Redfern, Jim Farrow, Howard Sappey.
The film runs for 77 minutes & will be screening in the School of Arts lecture room (that’s upstairs at the Arts Theatre Cronulla) on Saturday, 22 June at 7:30pm.
