SYNOPSIS:
Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee of one thousand pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself.

Margot Wendice - 45 to 55, prim & proper
Tony Wendice - 45 to 55, tennis champion, pivotal role
Max Halliday - 45 to 55, Margot’s best friend
Captain Lesgate - 45 to 55, nasty, hitman
Inspector Hubbard - 45 to 55, unassuming, cagy
The play is set in the early 50s. Period dress.
