GARY CLARK AS CLOWN
Gary has been with ATC since 2007, clowning around backstage and on. So naturally, when the chance came up to do The 39 Steps and play Clown, what could he do but prat fall into the part. He says “the clowns are complicated creatures, and if you count, I have 14 characters. This is exactly the crazy kind of ‘roll’ I love and it takes a lot more than 39 steps to play them”. He has starred in over 20 productions both at ATC and other theatres, and dedicates this performance to the memory of his friend and erstwhile director, James Bruce.
