It is our pleasure the announce the film screening of “A Silent Agreement” – written, directed & produced by Davo Hardy, an Arts Theatre Cronulla member.
This event provides a great opportunity to showcase all Arts Theatre Cronulla members involved in the production, as well as provide an opportunity for all members to enjoy a premiere screening in Cronulla, whilst raising awareness of Davo Hardy’s latest film release and to support Davo Hardy’s film productions.
“A Silent Agreement” (2017) is Davo Hardy’s third feature film and as with his second feature film “The Lives We Lead” (2015), was also produced with the assistance of a number of Arts Theatre Cronulla members.
After the screening, there is an opportunity to meet & interact with the writer/director/producer Davo Hardy, providing opportunity to answer any questions regarding the writing, direction and production of the film.
Members from the Arts Theatre Cronulla who were involved in the production of “A Silent Agreement” will get to view the film with a comp ticket, other members $5, non-members $10.

FILM SYNOPSIS
“A Silent Agreement” is the uplifting story of a writer with a speech impediment and his profoundly deaf boyfriend approaching a respected filmmaker to tell their story of how learning sign language helps the writer with his communication and confidence building. Seeing dollar-signs, the filmmaker mentor steals their idea. It will take all the confidence and self-esteem built up to that point to help the writer and his partner retrieve what is rightfully theirs.

ABOUT THE WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
Davo Hardy, a film director, writer and producer from Sydney, Australia is known for his coming-of-age dramas, such as his debut feature The Lives We Lead (2015) followed by his second feature Hunting Shadows (2016). Many of Davo’s screenplays depict the inclusion of profoundly deaf characters, notably portraying authentic Auslan sign language in films such as A Silent Agreement (2017), and the award-winning short film Last Night (2011). He is also known for quirky and off-beat works, such as his naturist-themed short, Complex (2014).
