Written by Debra Oswald, ‘Mr Bailey’s Minder’ is set in the ramshackle Sydney home and studio of famous Australian artist Leo Bailey, a brilliant yet abusive and alcoholic artistic genius. When his detached daughter Margo hires Therese as Leo’s latest minder he is faced with a battle of wits from her self-loathing yet resilient attitude. With the introduction of kind-spirited handyman Karl, we see these four damaged souls struggle to accept their own and each other’s demons with resilience and a hope, at least, for forgiveness.
The play is contemporary and will require Australian accents.
